Tai chi is a gentle and relaxing way to exercise the mind and the body, but it is often misunderstood. The ancient practice is still performed today for “health and wellness” – but what does that really mean?

Sometimes, people will say “I don’t understand what they’re doing… Waving their arms and legs all over the place? That’s not exercise…” Or “What kind of exercise is that? They’re not even sweating!” I have heard comments like this many times, and I always look forward to clarifying some of the many, little-known benefits of doing tai chi.
