Indoor Walking 2026

Indoor Walking 2026 in Seward, AK

We have plenty of indoor walking opportunities this winter for Seniors 60+.

We know everyone has been asking about this location- and we are super excited to announce the return of our partnership with the Railroad Terminal.

Monday-Thursday from 1-2:30pm you can strap on your indoor shoes and take a leisurely stroll in the new Dale & Carol Lindsay Railroad Terminal. There is plenty of walking space and huge windows looking out over Resurrection Bay to help keep you feeling motivated!

Our second partner is equally exciting as it presents a special opportunity to walk among some of Alaska's most beloved sea creatures. The Alaska Sealife Center is open for walking Thursday-Monday from 1-3pm. If you go on Friday, you might just run into our friends from the Independent Living Center- a great opportunity to chat with our neighbors and build strong intergenerational connections.

Last, but certainly not least with its amazing central location is the AVTEC Gym. It is available Monday-Friday from 11am-12pm for us to walk. Get a walking group together walk together to increase motivation, keep everyone accountable, and to build up your appetite to go to lunch together at the Seward Senior Center for lunch afterwards!

Let us know where you’re walking so we can inform you of any site closures.
